Mission
Contributing to the development, exchange and application of knowledge, as well as training professionals and researchers in nutrition and health, through the development of educational programs, research projects and services for healthcare, social development and nutrition institutions with excellence, national and international projection, and focused on attaining a more solidary, fair, inclusive, productive and peaceful society.
Vision
- To become a leading institution and referent in the formation of Human Nutrition and Healthcare experts, with nationally and internationally accredited programs and services with a deep ethical sense.
- To be a nationally and internationally recognized educational and research institution, focused on studying and contributing with solutions to the most important nutrition and health issues in Mexico.
- To become an institution committed to the development and management of public policies in food, nutrition and health for the benefit of the Mexican society.



Objectives
- To train professionals with an academic, ethical and humanistic excellence, that contribute to the promotion, prevention and treatment of food and nutrition-related health issues in our society, with an inter- and trans-disciplinary approach, through academic programs and services from the Department of Health, that hold national and international accreditations.
- To develop and share knowledge focused on identifying and solving health and nutritional issues in the Mexican population, through high quality multi-disciplinary research and raising awareness regarding current and relevant issues.
- To establish collaboration agreements with academia, social, government and business sectors, nationally and internationally.
- To offer the University community and vulnerable population nutrition and healthcare services through university clinics and services in the Ernesto Meneses Social Training and Action Center
